Privacy Policy
Effective July 28, 2026
The Art of Recovery Magazine (“we,” “us”) publishes a digital magazine available at theartofrecoverymag.com and through our mobile application. We built both to be read, not to watch you. This policy explains what little we collect and why.
What we collect
Subscription email. When you subscribe, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your email address so we can recognize your subscription and restore your access. We never see, transmit, or store your card number; that information goes only to Stripe. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in Stripe’s privacy policy.
Correspondence. If you email us (for example, to submit work to the magazine), we keep that correspondence and anything you choose to send with it.
Reading data. The mobile app does not use advertising trackers or sell data of any kind. Issue content is bundled with the app and can be read offline; reading position and preferences stay on your device.
What we don’t do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. We do not display third-party advertising networks. Sponsor pages that appear inside the magazine are static pages, not trackers.
Submissions
Work submitted for publication (stories, art, photographs) is used to consider and, with your agreement, publish your piece. Recovery is personal; if you ask us to use a pen name or withdraw a submission before publication, we will.
Your choices
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the link in your receipt from Stripe, or by emailing us. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to comments@theartofrecoverymag.com. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we honor the same requests from anyone, anywhere.
Children
Our publication is intended for readers 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
